MUNIK is an entirely student-led flagship conference initiated by the IBA Public Speaking Society, marking IBA’s entry into the Model United Nations arena in August 2008. In less than a year, IBA distinguished itself among the world’s top debating teams, building a legacy of excellence that has spanned 16 years. Our teams have achieved national and international acclaim, earning accolades at prestigious conferences worldwide including Harvard National MUN.
MUNIK has set a benchmark for empowering young minds across the globe to engage in dialogues on pressing issues, from climate change and narcoterrorism to nuclear proliferation and critical human rights matters, including the Kashmir issue and the Uighur crisis.
Entering its 15th edition in 2025, MUNIK aspires to continue this tradition by offering a vibrant platform where students can unleash their debating potential, thrive, and grow. This year, MUNIK aims to elevate the intellectual debate standard in Pakistan, enabling the IBA Model UN Team to share its hard-earned insights and continue to inspire the next generation of thinkers and leaders.

Our mission is to encourage constructive dialogue on pertinent global issues amongst the youth and provide opportunities for individuals to develop their public speaking, leadership, diplomacy, strategic thinking, and critical thinking skills to devise revolutionary solutions.
We aim to ensure that the nation’s emerging talent is well-equipped with the skills required to become the leaders of tomorrow. Additionally, we envision an inclusive community where students from all ethnicities & backgrounds get an opportunity to showcase their talent & acquire a wide array of proficiencies.
